Youth Recreation Program

A Place to Belong, Play, and Grow

The Youth Recreation Program offers a safe, welcoming space where young people can stay active, build confidence, and connect with others in their community. Open to Watervliet residents, this program provides structured activities and positive engagement throughout the school year—at no cost to families.

Season

The program runs from late September through mid-May.

Hours

Monday–Friday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 9:00 PMSaturday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Youth must be at least 10 years old to attend evening sessions Monday through Thursday.

Program Overview

Who Can Attend
Open to boys and girls ages 7–18 who reside in Watervliet. Residency is verified through the Watervliet City School District, City of Watervliet, or Watervliet Housing Authority.
Registration Requirements
A parent or guardian must complete a registration form for each child. Youth may begin attending only after registration is complete and residency has been confirmed.
Cost
This program is free of charge for all eligible participants.
