Our hugely popular Evening Number Drawing Raffle is back!  Tickets are $5.00.  Each day you could win!  If your ticket matches the Pick 3 numbers chosen that night you’ll win $50.00 Monday through Saturday or $100.00 on a Sunday!!  Missed by one number?  Your ticket is still a $10.00 winner if your one number above or below.

The evening Youth Recreation Program for youth 10-18 is slated to start back up on Wednesday, October 2.  Pre-registration by a parent/guardian on-site at The Civic Center is necessary if your child(ren) have not attended this program before.

**New for 2019-2020 Season**

We have changed our registration format to request more custodial and health related information regarding your child(ren).  Even if your child(ren) have attended the Youth Rec Program (“The Civ”), parents will need to complete a new registration–on-site at The Civ) within three weeks.

Saturday hours have changed from 10 AM to 4 PM to 12 PM to 6 PM.

Now–when you shop for your office supplies or home Amazon will donate a percentage of your purchase to the Watervliet Civic Center!!  Log on to and choose The Watervliet Civic Chest and then shop.  It’s that easy!  Friends, family and co-workers can still find their great deals on Amazon and help support The Watervliet Civic Center, whether buying dog food for the house or coffee filters for the office.  Spread the word!!

2019-2020 Before and After School applications are available at the Civic Center and under the “Our Programs” page.

Please select the application appropriate for your child’s age group. If interested in After Care, please also fill out a Closure Form found in the same area.

Don’t forget to designate the Watervliet Civic Center on your SEFA campaign donation as well as the United Way Campaign.

Program News & Information

Food Is Fuel Program

In collaboration with the Watervliet City School District, the Watervliet Civic Center has been distributing food to 105 children each week.; The children take the food home on Friday to ensure they have healthy choices for over the weekend. Thank you to Hannaford for donating and a generous grant from United Way of the Capital District which allows us to provide this service.

Nutrition Program

Held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, our nutrition program teaches youth how to make healthy snacks and elements of basic nutrition.  We focus on safety in the kitchen, preventing food contamination and hand washing–lots of hand washing.

Physical Fitness Program

Our instructors and aides encourage kids to get moving; focusing on flexibility, agility and developing strength safely.

Homework Help

(It’s actually popular!)  Monday through Thursday youth can get assistance with their homework, research topics for school in our computer lab and print reports if needed.

Classes are 8:30AM – 9:30 AM on Saturday mornings as well as 5:00PM-6:00PM on Tuesda
